With a global prevalence of approximately one-third of the population experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED), seeking treatment for this condition is vital for improving sexual health. There is limited information regarding the impact of male Viagra on the overall incidence or incidence rate of ED. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of male Viagra use and its relation to other health-related outcomes, including health-related quality of life, sexual satisfaction, and the impact of male Viagra on ED. A retrospective cohort study of male Viagra prescriptions over a period of 7 years was conducted to evaluate outcomes among male participants in the Netherlands. A total of 3,903 male participants were included. The median age of participants was 47 years (standard deviation [SD] 15.0), and 79.4% were female (median age 49.4, SD 15.9). Of the male participants, 74.7% reported having used male Viagra, and 50.9% reported using other treatments.
Methods:A retrospective cohort study was conducted in the Netherlands in 2019 and the current study included all patients over 40 years of age. In total, 3,903 participants were identified as male participants, and 3,903 were excluded due to lack of data.
Results:A total of 3,903 male participants were identified as male participants over 40 years of age. The median age of participants was 46 (SD 15.9), and 79.4% were female (median age 49.4, SD 15.9).
Conclusions:Male Viagra use and use of other treatments were positively associated with the overall incidence or incidence rate of ED among male participants.
Male Viagra prescription in the Netherlands: A retrospective cohort study (3,903)Male Viagra use and other treatments were not reported in the general population, but in a study of men who have erectile dysfunction, they were associated with a higher incidence of ED. The results of this study should be interpreted cautiously. This study did not include patients with heart disease. It is plausible that the association between male Viagra use and other health-related outcomes is still limited in general. However, the overall incidence or incidence rate of ED was significantly higher among male patients, which might be related to the use of other treatments. A higher incidence of ED among male participants might be due to the influence of sex hormone-receptor-positive and -negative patients on the efficacy and safety of male Viagra. The results of this study should be interpreted cautiously, because a prospective study has not been conducted.

Viagra (sildenafil) is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to get or keep an erection for satisfactory sexual activity in men, also known as impotence. Sildenafil belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Viagra works by relaxing muscles found in the walls of blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation to get and keep an erection. Keep in mind that Viagra does not cure erectile dysfunction or increase sexual desire.

We are a medical charity based in London and are committed to providing safe, compassionate, and quality care to people who need it. The NAEMI Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping the well-being of the many people who are suffering from sexual dysfunction, but it is the NHS that is the only funding source to the NI Council for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS in England and Wales. The NI Council for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS hasa responsibility to ensure sexual health is accessible to all, including those who are in the habit of using the NHS.
The NI Council for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS (NCSHA) and the Sexual Health England (SHE) have developed a ‘sexual health index’ that helps to make the NI Council’s sexual health care more accessible to the people who are experiencing sexual dysfunction, including those who have had their sexual partners in the past and who have a history of sexual partners in the past.
You can access this information by completing a free consultation. Once you have completed the consultation, you will be presented with the NHS Sexual Health Index which will then be reviewed by a sexual health professional. The Index will identify potential sexual health problems for each individual and will help to identify the most appropriate treatment options. In addition, NHS sexual health professionals will be able to provide advice on how to use the Index and to share this information with your partner and family. You will be asked to provide a medical reason for the assessment.
You can find information about this in the NI Council’s website (http://sexualhealth.nhs.uk/), which is also accessed through the Sexual Health Centre.
You will be given an NHS sexual health history quiz to help to identify sexual health problems for each person, and you will be given a list of options to use to help identify sexual health problems. This will be then reviewed by a sexual health professional to make an assessment of any possible potential sexual health problems.
